About

A transplanted New Zealand Scots/Maori academic/grandmother/random singer and sometime activist, my life is shaped by a deep conviction of the necessity for active critical engagement in the global and local crisis of impending climate catastrophe that confront us in the 21st century, the urgent necessity for re-visioning how we live together on this planet, and the contribution of Indigenous knowledge systems to a sustainable and just global society.

Most importantly, I am joyfully the mother of six wonderful grown ups scattered around the world and grandmother of eight, and have a habit of randomly singing in the street and dancing when no one is looking.
